No injuries in dramatic car fire on QEW ramp in Grimsby

No one was injured after a car was engulfed in flames on a QEW on-ramp in Grimsby Sunday, leading to massive traffic delays in the area.
A freelance reporter says that a white SUV caught fire on the Toronto-bound ramp at Bartlett Avenue in what is believed to have been an engine fire.
The driver pulled onto the right shoulder of the ramp and was able to safely exit the vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames.
The driver of a heavy wrecker tow truck reportedly tried to stop and get the fire under control with an extinguisher but it was no match for the massive blaze.
The Grimsby Fire Department was able to put the fire out soon after they arrived on scene, however significant traffic delays followed the incident due to the proximity to the highway.
