No charges in Eisenberger death threats

First Published:

Hamilton Police say the people who threatened to kill Mayor Fred Eisenberger, say they’re sorry.

During an interview with CHCH News back on August 13th, Eisenberger said he received death threats after council voted to locate the Pan Am stadium in the West Harbour area. Those accused of making the threats say they had no intention of hurting the mayor. Eisenberger did not want to lay charges.

The location of the Pan Am stadium continues to be controversial. The Ticats have repeatedly said they would not play at the West Harbour location. They were pushing for a location on the East Mountain. A final decision on a stadium site is slated for August 31st.
