Niagara police seek witnesses after shots fired at party in Wainfleet

First Published:

Niagara police are seeking witnesses after they found evidence that a gun had been discharged in Wainfleet.

They say a call brought them to an area near Tunnacliffe Road North and O’Reilly’s Road North around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

No one was injured, but a police investigation “revealed shots were fired at this location after officers located evidence of a firearm being discharged,” police say.

They suspect there was a “party” in the area shortly before their arrival but have not shared any specifics.

Currently, no suspect description is being circulated.

Police ask that anyone who may have attended the party, or who has information on the shooting, to contact them by phoning 905-688-4111.

Alternatively, anyone with dashcam footage from the area should check their footage.
