Niagara police say 2 injured, arrested after ‘serious’ stabbing

Police are investigating a “serious” stabbing in Niagara Falls that sent two men to hospital Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to calls shortly before 9 a.m. and found two men suffering from stab injuries near an apartment on Huron Street.

Police say a 56-year-old man was taken to hospital with what are being described as “serious injuries,” while the other 52-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Both men have since been arrested, with the 56-year-old man facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm, and the 52-year-old being charged with aggravated assault.

Officers say there is no ongoing threat to the public stemming from this incident.
