Niagara police have issued another plea for help in locating a missing 58-year-old man.

Darren Werner was last seen around 9 a.m. on Sept. 16 in the area of Townline Rd. in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Police and Werner’s family are concerned for his welfare as he was last seen traveling in an unknown vehicle.

Last week, Niagara police conducted a ground search at his home and utilized a drone to scour the area.

On Wednesday, Det. Sgt. Richard Gauthier appeared in a video posted on the Niagara police website and made a plea to the missing man should he see the video.

“Darren, please contact your family and let them know you’re okay,” said Gauthier. “If anyone has seen Darren or been in contact, you are also urged to contact police.”

Werner is described as being five-foot-eleven, 180 lbs, with short grey hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, ext. 1024325.
