Niagara man, 27, arrested in child exploitation investigation

Niagara police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with an online child exploitation investigation that began early last year in Quebec.

Officers in the city of Bromont began investigating a case of luring a child under 16 years of age in April 2022.

A suspect in Niagara Region was identified in this investigation. Niagara police then searched a residence in Welland and seized several devices used in commission of an offence.

Officers arrested Cameron Gregory Micheal Davidson and charged him with luring a child online to commit the offence of child pornography.

Davidson is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in a St. Catharines court on Thursday.
