Multiple youths identified as suspects in Fenwick Fair assaults

Niagara police say after a continued investigation into the assaults and bear spraying incidents at the Fenwick Fair in May, multiple youths have been identified as suspects.

At the fair, multiple victims reported being sprayed with bear mace. Other people said they had been involved in a separate incident, which ended in a physical altercation.

One young victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

These incidents happened during or after the fireworks show.

Police say three young people have been identified in relation to the altercation.

A 14-year-old boy from Thorold has been identified and charged with assault with a weapon in connection with the bear spraying.

Officers say two youth suspects involved in the bear spray incident remain unidentified. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the investigating officers by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009700
