Motorcycle rider killed in crash in Stoney Creek over the weekend

A crash on Saturday afternoon in Stoney Creek has resulted in the death of a 35-year-old motorcycle driver, the fourth to be killed in a collision this year.
Hamilton police say the 35-year-old was riding his motorcycle southbound when a crash occurred with an Acura vehicle at the intersection of Green Mountain Rd. and Upper Centennial Pkwy.
The motorcycle driver was in serious condition when he was taken to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries and died.

The 25-year-old female driver of the Acura stayed at the scene and is reportedly fully cooperating with investigators. There were no details released on the condition of the Acura driver.
Police say four out of the seven total traffic fatalities this year have involved a motorcycle.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation and anyone with information about this crash is asked to contact Det. Const. Wes Wilson at 905-546-4753.
