Women threatening to sue over implants
A group of women in Argentina who received faulty breast implants made by a French company is threatening to sue if they don’t receive free replacements.
The 50 women are among the thousands in Latin America who received breast implants made by poly implant prosthesis or PIP.
French investigators said the company used cheap industrial-grade silicon for the implants and not medical-grade gel.
The company was shut down last year after more than a thousand women suffered from premature ruptures.
