Why oil companies don’t like pre-pay pumps
After this weekend’s tragedy at a Toronto gas station, you might believe that gas retailers would be demanding legislation to require drivers to pre-pay for gas at the pump; but you’d be wrong.
While some believe that pre-pay would stop these crimes completely, Scot Urquhart reports that there is some sharp industry resistance to the idea:
