Walk a mile in their shoes to help create a Hamilton that’s free of hate and violence

There are going to be a lot of red shoes taking over downtown Hamilton next month.

Formerly, “walk a mile in her shoes”  the name has been updated to reflect and recognize Two-Spirit LGBTQIA+ people that experience violence at higher rates than anyone else in our Hamilton and Halton communities.

The CEO of YWCA Hamilton, Denise Christopherson, and the owner of LoDidThat Hair Studio, Lohifa Pogoson-Acker, joined us to discuss the responsibility as an organization and as a community to advocate for all survivors and to help create a Hamilton that’s free of hate and violence.
