HAPPENING NOW:
Video game therapy?
This is the kind of medical research kids dream of — a new study finds video games may help some children read better.
The study from Italy, focused on children with dyslexia who have difficulty with reading accuracy and comprehension. The study found, after nine 80-minute sessions of playing active video games, kids were able to read faster and more accurately. Researchers say more work needs to be done before recommending “video game therapy”, but suggest it offers hope for early intervention.
