Vegetarian diet helps keeps you healthy

A vegetarian diet has been linked to a lowered risk for a potentially serious bowel disorder called ticulitis.

British researchers followed 47,000 healthy adults for more than a decade.
They found that vegetarians were 30% less likely to get the fairly common bowel disorder than their meat eating counterparts.
High fiber intake is thought to help prevent the disorder.
A large majority of North Americans are nowhere close to consuming the reccommended average intake of 18 grams of fiber a day.
The best sources of fiber are wholegrain breads and cereals, along with fruits and vegetables.
