Update on Naomi Cermak
Naomi is heading to Kona.
Last week we told you the story of Naomi Cermak, the 31-year old Cambridge scientist who was working towards her life goals. Falling in love, raising a family, and competing in a Kona Ironman. Sadly her dreams were sidelined by a diagnosis of stage 4 melanoma.
Despite the spreading cancer and painful clinical trials, Naomi entered a video contest to win a spot in the October Ironman. And, she did it. Her story inspired enough public votes to earn her a number at Kona. We certainly wish her well, and plan to follow her progress as she approaches her dream race.
