Universal flu shot
We could be close to having a long-lasting flu shot that protects against a variety of strains.
A universal flu vaccine would save lives and money by eliminating the need for annual shots.
By putting a new antibody together with one they discovered two years ago, researchers in the U.S. and the Netherlands hope to have a vaccine soon that protects against most flu strains.
It would not only stop people from catching the flu, but would also neutralize it in those already sick.
