HAPPENING NOW:

U.K. Childhood obesity study

A new study suggests many parents are ignoring calls by doctors to seek help for their child’s weight problem.

Researchers in the U.K. studied 285 families who received doctors’ letters saying their child’s body mass index qualified them as “obese”.

The letters encouraged families to consult their doctor….but fewer than half did.

Experts predict two out of three children could be obese by 2050 if current trends continue.

Currently, it’s more than one in five.
