New Canadian research is encouraging people to get up and move.

Researchers at Queen’s University say boosting the intensity and duration of everyday activities, like climbing stairs and doing housework, can help your heart and lungs.

Experts say overweight people who don’t work out can still improve their level of cardio-respiratory fitness by moving around more. but researchers say lower intensity movement is not a replacement for a good workout.
