A study shows heart patients are more likely to take their medications when they get reminders by text message.

Patients who got daily text reminders for one month had a 16 to 17% higher rate of taking the correct dose at the right time. Researchers say this simple, inexpensive reminder could be an effective way to improve medication adherence and lower a patient’s risk for heart complications.
