Summit Station Dairy is bringing back the milkman

A new dairy in Hamilton is bringing back some old ways to get milk.

Summit Station Dairy & Creamery opened last month on Powerline Road in Hamilton, and Steve Ruddick got a first hand look at the inner workings of the farm.

Built on over 1,000 acres the Loewith family farm, which began 75 years ago with Joe and Minna, is producing milk from 450 Holstein cows, that are all descendants of the original 15.

The whole production of milk is done right on site, from the milking of the cows, to the pasteurizing, bottling and selling.

Right now Summit Station Dairy is open from Thursday-Sunday, selling whole white milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk in glass bottles and fresh cheese curds.

And one thing that really sets them apart is that they brought back the milkman! They deliver milk to Hamilton residents who have an annual membership, which covers a full year of milk delivered right to your door!

Summit Station Dairy is located at 1399 Powerline Road W, Hamilton.
