HAPPENING NOW:
Sport and teen weight
Teens who play more than one sport are less likely to be overweight or obese.
Researchers at Dartmouth University surveyed nearly two thousand teens.
Those who played on three or more sports teams were close to 30% less likely to be overweight and 40% less likely to be obese compared to teens who didn’t play sports.
Riding a bike to school also appeared to help teens control their weight, but taking gym did not.
