HAPPENING NOW:

Spinach Recall

Four spinach products are being recalled because they may be contaminated with salmonella.

The spinach, produced by Burlington’s Ippolito Fruit and Produce, was distributed in Ontario and Quebec, but the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says it may have been sold in other provinces as well.

The affected spinach is sold under the name Metro in 171g packages, as Queen Victoria in 227g packages and under the name Frisco’s in 170g and 284g packages.

There are no reported illnesses associated with eating this spinach. Food contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell spoiled, but eating it may cause you to become ill.
