Spending on obesity can save health care dollars

Obesity is a major concern across North America, and it’s becoming more of an issue for Canadians.

Over the last few years, Ontario has taken the lead in creating better patient care. And as Maria Hayes tells us, it started in Hamilton:

The Ontario Bariatric Network doesn’t advocate only gastric bypass surgery. Surgery is still considered a last resort.
There are other programs available to patients connected with the network.
Over the next month, family physicians will be sent information with specific criteria for potential patients.
