Seeds may still be on sale

Health experts in Europe are warning there could be more e. coli outbreaks, because the contaminated seeds that caused it –might still be on sale.

Contaminated Egyptian Fenugreek seeds are being blamed for the E.coli outbreak in Germany that killed at least 47 people and infected over 4,000 others and was responsible for a smaller outbreak in France.

Officials are worried that if the sprout seeds were infected during production, they could have been dried before distribution, allowing the bacteria to survive for years.
