HAPPENING NOW:

See The Keys as we head down to Florida to visit Islamorada

Emily Vukovic continued her tour of the Florida Keys, and today she was in Islamorada.

Islamorada lies between Florida Bay and the Atlantic Ocean and is the sportfishing capital of the world.

Emily took a trip with Captain Matt Bellinger of Bamboo Charters to Go Fish Florida Keys and caught a Lemon shark. Seeing a shark is rare, but there are also 20-30 different species you can catch. Bamboo Charters focuses on sustainable fishing, so if you go out with them you catch and release what is caught.

If going fishing isn’t for you, take a seat and eat at Robbie’s of Islamorada. This tourist attraction has been voted the #1 in the Florida Keys that every tourist should visit. And is the best place to feed the Tarpon.

Emily’s last stop gave her a little feel of home, as Craig McBay from Burlington, ON has his own brewery in the Florida Keys. He has been in Florida for 23 years and started making beer at home with a kit his mother-in-law gifted him. That turned into a passion and when his wife and him moved to The Keys they opened up Florida Keys Brewing.

So whether you are looking for a place to eat, drink or fish, Islamorada is the place to explore.

Tune in tomorrow as Emily visits Big Pine and Lower Keys.
