Esophageal cancer has one of the highest mortality rates. Traditionally, surgery to treat it has been invasive and painful. But Dr. Wael Hanna from St. Joe’s and Sera Felice, President of St. Joseph’s Foundation talked about a new, robotic approach is being taken at St. Joseph Healthcare Hamilton that causes less trauma to the body and gives surgeons a greater range of movement within small spaces or cavities in the body.
