HAPPENING NOW:

RIM CEO’s no longer billionaires

RIM’s falling stock price and the generosity of co-CEO’s Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis has knocked both out of the ranks of the world’s billionaires.

Forbes Magazine says the plunge in Research in Motion shares has put a hefty dent in their net worth.

But Forbes notes they’d still be billionaires if they didn’t support so many charitable causes.

Back in March, Lazaridis was worth $1.9 billion, slightly ahead of Balsillie at $1.8 billion.

Now, they’re in the $800 million area.

RIM stock has lost more than half its value in the last few months.
