A great cause was getting all revved up at Hamilton Police central station this morning.
The Telus Motorcycle Ride For Dad kicked off its fundraising campaign. The Golden Horseshoe chapter raises money for prostate cancer. Its goal is to raise $35,000 to fight the most commonly-diagnosed cancer for men.
Committee chair Wendy Passmore emphasizes the importance of early detection. “Early detection can result in successful treatment. So men, talk to your doctors about the PSA test and get the facts.”
The June 14th ride finishes with a police escort. Walter Gretzky, The Great One’s own father, will serve as the celebrity marshal.
