Rethinking pink
Breast cancer groups are wondering if it’s time to rethink the ‘think pink’ campaign.
A new study has found women have a hard time connecting the colour with the disease.
Researchers showed a group of women breast cancer ads which used the colour pink.
The women in the group had a harder time believing they would ever contract the disease than women in a group who saw ads using a neutral colour.
The Breast Cancer Society of Canada is one of those groups questioning the use of pink, and wondering if the colour has been overused.
