Retail sales rise in Canada
Retail sales in Canada rose 0.7% to nearly $38 billion in June, their third straight monthly increase.
Statistics Canada says gains were reported in six of 11 sub-sectors, representing 69% of total retail sales.
The largest increase in sales among all sub-sectors was registered by vehicle and parts dealers.
New car dealers led the gain with sales growth of 3.3%, while sales at used-car dealers rose just over 10% in June.
