Renata Fast excited for what the PWHL means for women’s sports

This past Tuesday, the first six teams for the new PWHL (Professional Women’s Hockey League) were announced. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Boston, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York will be the ‘Original Six’ of the new league. A 24 game schedule will be set to start in January, and a 15-round draft in Toronto will be held on September 18th.
One of the players that is excited to be a part of the league is Burlington’s own and Olympic gold medal winner Renata Fast. She joined us this morning to talk about the PWHL and what it means for women’s hockey and sports.
