Profit drop for 407

There are mixed second quarter results for the company that runs highway 407.

Revenue for toll operator “407 International” jumped to $170 million from $162 million the year before.

But the company’s profit dropped to $22 million from more than $33 million.

That’s mainly because the number of trips on the 407 slipped a bit.

The average cost per trip though, because of increased tolls, jumped to $5.82 from $5.43.
