Premier Kathleen Wynne joined Nick Dixon from her office at Queen’s Park to address these issues about the budget.

Many people are calling this an election budget — and you appear to be daring the New Democrats to vote against this budget. So — are you ready for an election — and are you expecting one??

On transportation — the budget allocates $15 billion in the GTHA for transit and transportation over the next ten years. Hamilton rapid transit has been identified as a priority project. But what does that mean? Council has been looking for an answer on LRT funding, but this budget doesn’t clarify anything. In fact it seems to make things convoluted.

The way spending is going in this province — and under the Liberal government over the past decade — how can you be so sure we will have a balanced budget in the next few years?

Finally, as an aside, you’ve talked in the last year about the state of the city of Toronto and Rob Ford as mayor. What is your reaction to the latest developments?
