Researchers say a popular osteoporosis drug may help breast cancer patients avoid bone fractures.

Experts looked at early-stage breast cancer patients who were receiving a drug that can damage bones.

Half were given the osteoporosis drug Zometa or Reclast.

Researchers found those given the drug experienced a bone density boost, while those not on the drug had bone loss.
