OKB serves up meals to those in need in the Brantford community

Our Kitchen Brantford also known as OKB is a 24-hour commercial kitchen that is offered up to chefs or whoever wants to have a licensed kitchen to work.

But thanks to Cathy Ferrar, the space has turned into so much more.

The space has been active for three years now and thanks to the pandemic, they had to shift to fill the space. Now they feed 194 local children in schools Monday-Friday.

Since there were no events to cater for, the chefs made meals to keep busy and they were able to keep their doors open.  They then they gave those meals out. Some of the food that they donate it actually donated to them, and they ensure all the food gets put to good use instead of being thrown out and ending up in the landfill.

Today they are selling sandwiches at OKB and all the money that gets made is being donated back to make the meals for the kids. You can call to order 519-732-0629 or stop in and order.

Lunch is served between 11:30am and 1:30pm and the food shop is open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm.
