OHIP+ changes

The new Ontario government is making changes to OHIP+.

Minister of Health and long-term care Christine Elliott announced over the weekend they’re going to focus the program on children and youth not already covered by drug benefits.

So, those under 25 will continue getting eligible prescriptions for free, but those who are covered by private plans would bill the plans first and the province will cover all remaining costs.
