Leaked details from Thursday’s provincial budget show taxes are going up on higher income earners — and smokers.

The Toronto Star is reporting that when the budget is released — and if it passes — anyone earning 150-thousand dollars or more will be hit with a new tax levy. The Canadian Press has obtained a document which suggests the same thing. It also says the Liberals are planning a four cent per litre tax on aviation fuel over four years. Seven and a half cents of the existing provincial gas tax will also be dedicated to new transit projects. And the documents also show that the Liberals will go ahead with an almost 30-billion dollar ten year plan for public transit and infrastructure.
