He studied medicine at McMaster University, specializing in hematology.  His clinical practice began at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in 1984 and continued 4 years later at what was then the Hamilton Civic Hospitals.  But in 2006, Dr. Ralph Meyer was lured to Kingston for a research position, the Director of NCIC clinical trials group.  But today he’s back and he’s gone from the frontlines to President of the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.  Maria Hayes has the story.
