New cell phone providers
New players in Canada’s wireless phone market picked up a big chunk of the business last year.
The CRTC says they captured 25% of cell phone customers last year.
But the commission says they have a long way to go.
That’s only two per cent of the overall subscriber share.
A market research and technology firm, Seaboard Group, expects the new companies will continue to grow this year.
