New C. Difficile outbreak
The Niagara Health System has declared a new C. Dfficile outbreak at the Greater Niagara General Hospital.
Three patients contracted the bug last week.
The NHS says they are all hospital acquired cases.
The hospital says staff is working hard to follow infection prevention and control protocols but they’re seeing an increasing number of C. Diff cases in the community and in the hospital.
The last outbreak at GNGH was declared over in September.
