Mocktail recipes for a healthier alternative

With new alcohol guidelines from the Canadian Centre for Substance Use and Addiction recommending no more than two alcoholic drinks a week, it may be time for a healthier alternative.

Registered dietitian Shannon Crocker joined us in our kitchen with some delicious mocktail alternatives to classic alcoholic beverages.

 

Recipes:  Margarita-ish Mocktail

Flaky sea salt for the glass rim (optional)
Lime wedge
3 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
3 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
Sparkling water

-Run the lime wedge over the rim of the glass and roll rim in salt.

-Add the orange juice and lime juices to the glass.
-Add ice.
-Top with sparkling water.
-Stir.

Good to know: Fresh lime and orange juice are key here for best flavour.
