Mild sleep apnea treatment
A study shows patients may benefit from sleeping with a C-pap machine, even if they only have a mild case of obstructive sleep apnea.
C-pap, or continuous positive airway pressure, during sleep is commonly used to treat severe sleep apnea.
Researchers looked at more than 200 patients and found C-pap was also effective in treating mild to moderate apnea.
Patients using C-pap treatment reported less daytime sleepiness, fewer mood disturbances and an improved quality of life.
