Meditation to beat the blues
If you’re feeling lonely, try meditation.
Researchers had 20 people practice “mindful meditation”, which focuses on being attentive to the present and not dwelling on the past or future, while another 20 people didn’t meditate at all.
Experts say after 8 weeks, those who meditated had fewer bouts of loneliness.
Blood samples also showed they had fewer signs of inflammation, which could mean it’s good for heart health.
