McMaster scientists get Movember grants

Two McMaster researchers have been awarded Movember discovery grants.

A professor of pathology and molecular medicine, Gurmit Singh (left), and an assistant professor of medicine, Khalid Al-Nedawi (right), are working on depression and hormone-therapy resistance in prostate cancer patients. They’re among 26 Canadian researchers awarded grants by Prostate Cancer Canada.

The funding comes from donations collected by men growing mustaches during the month of November.

Each researcher will receive up to $200,000 over two years.
