HAPPENING NOW:

Junk food commercials

Scientists say people who are more reward-sensitive have a greater urge to eat when they watch junk food commercials.

An Australian study had people rate the pleasantness of food images embedded into a short movie as well as their desire to indulge in each of them.

Reward sensitive people responded most positively to junk food images instead of healthy ones.

The findings may explain why some people aren’t obese even if they have easy access to cheap junk food.
