HAPPENING NOW:
In-vitro fertilization births now over 5 million
Over five million babies have now been born using in-vitro fertilization.
Fertility experts made the announcement this week at a conference in Turkey.
The first in-vitro baby was born back in 1978.
Now, about 350,000 babies worldwide are conceived in petri dishes every year.
Researchers say Europe is the most active region for in-vitro, accounting for about a third of all procedures done around the world.
