Ikea is recalling safety belts for a million highchairs after some children fell out of their seats when buckles unexpectedly opened.

Ikea says it has received eight incident reports regarding the belt buckle on the Antilop high chair.

Three children have suffered minor injuries.

The chairs have been sold in 46 countries, mostly in Europe, and the recall concerns those made by a Chinese manufacturer between July 2007 and November 2009.

Customers are advised to contact Ikea for an exchange or refund.
