HAPPENING NOW:

How to choose the best posture-improving shoes for work

It’s a brand new year and with some people heading back to work, Dr. Liza joined us this morning with her tips on how to choose the best, posture-improving shoes for both men and women.

Dr. Liza says most people need shoe support as opposed to bare feet when they are at home. This is because most of what people are standing on at home is hardwood or vinyl over concrete, which is not good for shock absorption. She says foot support can prevent foot, knee and lower back pain in the long run. Dr. Liza has a line of slippers to help with good support.

“[During the pandemic] I was spending so much time at home and I noticed that my knees started to flare up and my feet started to flare up and it’s because I wasn’t in my heel supported shoes,” said Dr. Liza.

Slippers

She says her slippers have great supportive insoles that feel like you’re wearing running shoes instead of slippers. They are perfect for lounging around the house, especially while working from home.

Socks

Dr. Liza also has a line of socks. She says socks are important for support because they boost circulation if you are sitting down too much. Sitting for long periods of time can cause blood to pool in the feet and cause swelling. This can lead to foot pain.

Socks that have compression and support will keep feet stimulated and make you feel more energized.

Dr. Liza Shoes

Dr. Liza also has a line of shoes. She designed a sneaker that doesn’t look like a sneaker, which is perfect for wearing into the office.

She says all her shoe products are made with the highest quality leather from Brazil and high functioning EVA.
