Hope In The Balance: A Newfoundland Doctor Meets a World in Crisis tells the stories behind Dr. Andrew Furey‘s work in Haiti following the devastating 2010 earthquake, which killed an estimated 250,000 people and displaced a million others. He joined us this morning, but it should be noted the author’s book tour has been severely impacted by the pandemic and the fact that since he finished the book he was elected Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
