Home care to become provincial election issue
Critics of the province’s home care system say they are “still waiting.”
That was the title of an assessment of the service, issued Monday by the Ontario Health Coalition.
They say 10,000 people are on wait lists for help, and it’s been like this for more than a decade.

Ontario’s health minister says she looks forward to reviewing the report.
In an emailed statement, Deb Matthews insists the Liberals have actually increased home care funding by 64 per cent since they took office in 2003.
But an unsatisfied health coalition plans to make the state of Ontario’s home care an issue in this fall’s provincial election.
