Here’s why to renovate your home rather than relocate

Since there is a low inventory of homes in the real estate market, it can be challenging for buyers to find the house they really want.
That’s why interior designer Colleen O’Hara recommends renovating your current home rather than relocating.
“When you’re thinking about relocating, you have to take these things into consideration, including the cost,” she said in an interview on Morning Live.
These expenses include land transfer, legal, inspection, real estate, staging and moving fees.
“On top of that, there are hidden costs and the stress involved with moving,” O’Hara said.
One of the benefits of renovating your current home is customizing it according to your own preferences.
